<div id="subtitle">Bob Murray replaces Brian Burke as Anaheim Ducks general manager; Burke declines extension</div><div><p>Bob Murray has been hired as general manager of the Anaheim Ducks after Brian Burke declined a contract extension.</p><p>Murray has spent the last three-plus seasons with the Ducks. They have made the playoffs in each of those seasons, including a Stanley Cup title in 2007.</p><p>The Ducks also announced Wednesday that Burke has been appointed special consultant to chief executive officer Michael Schulman.</p><p>Schulman said Burke declined an extension last week, and he agreed with Schulman that Murray was an obvious successor.
